Bloodborne sells over one million units worldwide; Patch 1.03 coming this month
Bloodborne has sold very well for SCE Japan Studio as the publisher has announced it has reached over one million sales worldwide. In addition, we finally hear more about the upcoming patch 1.03.
Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Studio has announced Bloodborne has sold over one million copies worldwide, but more importantly, they have detailed what fans of the game can expect from patch 1.03.
Bloodborne’s upcoming patch is expected to reduce “certain” load times as well as offer performance optimizations. The patch will also put the kibosh on the recently-found bug that causes bosses to become complete pushovers after leaving the game running for over 12 hours.
The upcoming patch is currently being worked on with SCE Japan Studio and is expected to be released globally before the end of the month.
In addition to information regarding the patch, SCE Japan Studio is also announcing they’ll be conducting regular server-side updates in the future, which will cause online play to be disabled as a result. The team plans on having these updates take place at 1am PT on a non-Friday weeknight and should last only a few hours to complete.

That may be the case for you, but that doesn't negate the fact that those games are on PS4. I usually prefer to get games with online play on PS4 because I have a group of friends that aren't PC gamers that I like to play online with. My PC gamer friends will usually play a new game for a week and then go back to whatever MMO they're addicted to.

No. Just no. There aren't many exclusive games for PS4, period end of sentence. There are plenty of multiplatform games but I will play those on PC. You cannot just armwave away the argument because you didn't address it.
E3 is a month or two away and I expect Sony to fix their (currently) shitty 2015 holiday release slate then.-
So, because you choose to play a multiplatform game on a different platform than PS4, that invalidates the game on PS4? And I'm the one "armwaving away" arguments? I am merely addressing the statement that there were no games to play on PS4. Which is utterly false. You guys are the ones who keep introducing new conditions to the statement in order to make it true. But whatever.

Diablo 3 came out on PS4 in August 2014 - less than a year ago.
GTA 5 came out on PS4 in November 2014 - less than a year ago.
Evolve is a great game and got decent reviews. The microtransactions are off-putting but the fact is that it is a game on the PS4 that people play.
I don't understand why a game being out on other platforms somehow negates the fact that the game is out on PS4. I'm looking at this as someone who owns a PS4, not a prospective buyer of a PS4. I own a PS4 and I have a ton of great games to play on it. Some are exclusive, some are not. But the games are there.-

I did not experience Diablo 3 on PC in 2012. Nor did a lot of people. And I didn't play much GTA5 on PS3 either. The point is that the games are on PS4. You said that there isn't much to play on PS4. But the games are there. You can keep adding conditions to make your point valid but I'm responding to what you originally said.

I didn't play it until August 2014, when it was released on PS4. Same for my friends that I've been playing with on PS4. So it is new to us. Also we're playing it on PS4, which makes it a game on PS4 that you can play.
If you only count brand new console exclusives as games on a console then all of the consoles suck and Wii U is the best current console to buy. -

I think those of us in the "hardcore gaming" group (including reviewers and such) often overestimate the gap between "casual" and "hardcore". In other words, I think there is a very large group that is more aware of Bloodborne and wanting to play it than would be expected from the "casual" stereotype.

I can't speak for him but I'm running out of steam for Bloodborne. There isn't a huge amount of build diversity so I'm not immediately inclined to roll a new character. The PvP is incredibly bare bones so I'm not doing that much. Right now I'm looking at finishing Chalice dungeons and going through NG+ to find some story/items I missed the first time. If nothing changes, probably in a month's time I'll barely touch it.

I wrote up a big reply and lost it in a Firefox crash =[
mainly i think its the game world being small, the lack of drops and cool items to find that aren't just consumables, the fact that most of the bosses are optional (and thus so is most of the story), etc. especially in the chalice dungeons, which seem to be in the game to add longevity but as soon as I finish one I never want to run it again. the boss fights weren't as much fun for me as the Souls games, either co-op or solo. the lack of npc stories and characters in general, the fact that after you finish up with Yharnam no other area of the game is as interesting or huge,
