HBO and Silicon Valley visit Twitch today

Even HBO is getting on board with Twitch, as the cast of Silicon Valley is dropping by for a visit to play some games and show some clips of the upcoming new season.

The Twitch offices are getting some unlikely visitors today. Even HBO has been impressed by Twitch's reach, which is why the cast of Mike Judge's Silicon Valley will be dropping by for a special stream. Thomas Middleditch, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, and Zach Woods will be dropping by to play some games, as well as take questions about the next season of their HBO series.

The video game connection between Twitch and Silicon Valley isn't that much of a reach. Much of the cast (both in and out of character) are video game enthusiasts. In fact, Silicon Valley's Richard (Middleditch) is a regular streamer on his own Twitch channel.

In addition to taking questions from fans and playing games, today's stream with host Jon Carnage will also offer a sneak peek at the upcoming second season of Silicon Valley. For those that have never seen the show, the pilot will air shortly afterwards, making HBO the first television network to air a show on Twitch. The festivities begin at noon and can be seen on the main Twitch channel.
