It's a slower week to kick off the month of April, but there are a few big releases to look out for, like Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin and Xenoblade Chronicles 3D.

April is kicking off with something of a calm before the storm. With some of the bigger releases set to come in a few weeks, these next seven days will offer up a few worthwhile releases that may not necessarily be on people's radars. Arguably, the biggest game of the week is Xenoblade Chronicles on 3DS, but a few other arrivals like Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, Tower of Guns, Affordable Space Adventures, and the PS4 edition of Bastion should make this week a little more interesting. Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
