Shack Reels: Batman's Weird History in Gaming
Newer gamers are used to Batman's high-quality Arkham series. But Batman's gaming history has been somewhat checkered. Check out some of the Dark Knight's strangest forays into video games.
The last ten years have marked something of a renaissance for Batman in video games. Just as Christopher Nolan's trilogy restored the Dark Knight's name in movies, the Arkham series (along with a leading role in Netherrealm's Injustice: Gods Among Us) has thrust the Batman near the top of the video game mountain. Of course, Batman has had something of a checkered past prior to setting foot in Arkham Asylum.
Today's Shack Reels takes a look at a history of Batman in games. But our own Andrew Zucosky isn't so much focusing on the cult classic NES-era beat-em-ups, as he is some of the Caped Crusader's… stranger outings.
Check out Batman's weirder gaming moments in the video below. And for more, be sure to subscribe to Shacknews on YouTube.

I always thought the Sega CD Batman game was super weird.

They took the Genesis version of whatever Batman game was out at the time, and tacked on driving missions between the cartridge levels that used the amazing power *cough* of the Sega CD hardware.
It wasn't a good game. haha -
I have loved Batman games for years. You missed out two decent ones:
Batman (NES) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman:_The_Video_Game)
Batman: Return of the Joker (NES) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman:_Return_of_the_Joker)
I rented Batman for the NES so many times...so difficult a game for the time for an eleven-year-old.
Batman: Return of the Joker was an out-of-nowhere game I had no idea existed until it showed up as a Christmas gift. Twelve-year-old Waverider was blown away by the graphics and the music; played through that game so many times.
