Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition coming this summer with five playable characters
Now that DMC: Devil May Cry is out the door, Capcom is now focusing on the original series' final installment, offering the first details on Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition.
Capcom gave the remaster treatment to DmC: Devil May Cry earlier this month. However, there's still a sector of fans that are holding onto the past glory of the original series. The publisher has those fans in mind, as well, with the upcoming release of Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition. Today, Capcom has released some new details that go beyond a simple graphical facelift.
Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition will increase the playable character number to five. In addition to playing as Dante and Nero, players will also be able to jump in as an upgraded Vergil. Trish will also be playable for Dante's missions, while demon hunter Lady is playable for Nero's.
Console users will also get their first crack at the Legendary Dark Knight mode, which was first released for the PC version of Devil May Cry 4. This game mode tests players' might against hordes of foes.
Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition will be updated to run at 1080p, 60fps and include a number of balance tweaks. Get a first glimpse in the trailer below. The game is set to release on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 this summer.

LMFAO! You gotta laugh man, I mean I can see it now.
(sitting around the board room table)
"we need cash"
"No problem, lets make another remake". "Remember we told all these fools (i.e. gamers) we cant do backwards compatibility anymore. So...."
(another officer laughs after almost choking on some food)
"DAMN! Who came up with that? Did we promote him?"
"I don't know, but we are making a killing!"
"anyway...don't bother making anything new. Keep this shit going for as long as possible"
(ALL LAUGHING AND CHOCKING ON Dom Pérignon)
Let it rain baby! -
