God of War 3 Remastered heading to PlayStation 4 this July
A remastered version of God of War 3 will bring Kratos to the current gen on July 14th. The game will feature 1080p graphics and a new Photo Mode.
Sony has announced a remastered version of God of War 3 will be available on the PlayStation 4 on July 14th.
God of War 3 Remastered is being released to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the God of War franchise. The game will feature 1080p graphics and will allow players to share images from within the game through a new Photo Mode. Similar to the Photo Mode in The Last of Us Remastered, players will be able to choose the frame, filter, and bloom of their image, among other things.
Further details on what more will be included in God of War 3 Remastered are scarce at the moment, but I'll be sure to update this story as more information comes from Sony.

Yes and no. The Xbox 360 was the clear leader last generation and there are quite a few people who only owned that device and never owned a PS3. That is less common on enthusiast websites like this... but a lot of slightly less hardcore gamers only own one console. I consider myself fairly 'hardcore' but I also never owned a PS3 (or PS2 for that matter - because.... I was bitter about the Dreamcast). Anyways... all these remakes are awesome for me because I'm getting to play all the key games I wanted to play on PS3 but was never able to. A lot of people seem to be whining about the remakes... but I'm happy about them.

I can understand your point of view.
but lets be honest, do you think ALL of these remakes PS# exclusives or multiplatforms are for the ones that got left behind?
The money isn't there?
The cost to re-make these are not for the "ones that got away" crowd, but more for the hardcore WITH the benefit of picking up stragglers.
Why God of War 3 then? Besides it being the easier of them all (supposedly) to revamp.
but now I just Batman Arkham City and Asylum are getting the remaster treatment as well. These games where multiplatform and are still readily available.
Whats the excuse? Don't own the 360 or PS3. The disc is damaged (which by the way you can re-buy for pennies).
No, this is a money grab. Just plain and simple.
Its the biggest double-dipping money making scheme since DLC.
and until we as a collective tell all of these companies to stop BS and put backwards compatibility back well be subject to morning laughter, as we read what other great game gets remastered.
