Shack's Arcade Corner - Alien Vs Predator
This week on Shack's Arcade Corner, Greg checks out one of the most underrated brawlers to ever hit the arcade machine, Alien Vs Predator.
We've seen quite a few renditions of the popular Alien and Predator series throughout movies and video games, however, sometimes it's easy to forget about where these things started off. We may have the highly successful games like Alien: Isolation, but what about those games taht brought the science fiction horror of the Xenomorph to gamers everywhere? This week Greg checks out one of the most underrated brawlers to ever hit the Arcade machine. Check out the video below.

I missed out on AVP in the arcades ( thank goodness for mame ) but I spent a lot of time playing aliens by konami when I was a kid. Such a fantastic game! So many great memories. I still can't believe Aliens and AVP arcade never received a decent home port. I'm guessing it was related to license issues

Me and Cmutation recently played through this on my mame machine. We enjoyed it immensely. Next to Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, it is my favorite beat em up.
PS you should review C&D next time you get a hankering to review an arcade beat em up. If you haven't played it - drop what you are doing and go play it right now. It's worth it. -

I loved this machine. Used to pedal over to the nearby strip mall, grab a slurpee and cash some allowance for quarters, then head to the videostore and jam this until I was broke. Never beat it but always had a blast.
These arcade features are great. Would love to see some more detailed stuff talking about character's powers and abilities (for the beat em ups at least), maybe in a small article after the video. -
whoa.. going to be released on 32X. That was near cutting edge for the time. (but a bit of a stop gap between the saturn) Im betting the TG16 could have pulled it off.
I wasn't able to play this in the arcades at the time, unfortunately, being the huge Alien fan that i am. I would love to have seen a early/mid 90's balls to the wall, ultra violent, movie adaptation. It could have been a classic in the vein of Robocop.
