Frozenbyte has announced Trine 3 will be headed to PC later this year.

Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power will feature three heroes who are brought together to embark on a new adventure through a world filled with puzzles, dangerous enemies and strange magic.

An announcement trailer and screenshots have also been released that shows the game in action. As you can see from the video, the gameplay looks to be a mix of 2D platforming with 3D exploration and combat.

As of now, only a PC version of Trine 3 has been announced. Considering Trine 2 made its way across multiple platforms, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Trine 3 go the same route some time down the road.
