Space Hulk: Deathwing trailer dons its Terminator armor

Focus Home Interactive and Streum on Studio are ready to show some more Unreal Engine 4-created footage for the upcoming Space Hulk: Deathwing, further highlighting the upcoming Space Marine FPS.

Roughly six months after introducing new Space Hulk: Deathwing footage, Focus Home Interactive and Streum on Studio have released the next big trailer for their upcoming Games Workshop FPS. Just as before, the trailer uses Unreal Engine 4 assets and the developers are, once again, boasting that all footage is fully in-engine.

The new trailer shows off more of the frightening Genestealers that are set to wreak havoc, while also putting much of the Space Marine weaponry on display. It further hints at the larger story, which will put players in the role of the ultra-secret Deathwing troop from the Dark Angels. More specifically, they'll play as a Librarian with Psyker abilities that can be upgraded across four skill trees.

While the footage looks quite impressive, Focus Home Interactive is still staying quiet on a release date. It is expected to come later this year to PC and consoles.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Me neither. I hope it plays close to the Space Marine game from a couple of years ago.

It is a Space Hulk game, but not an expansion of the current RTS. This is an FPS.

It sounds like it's supposed to be an FPS though, which'll change things... should be interesting though!

First the really cool Just Cause 3 trailer and now this...wow. This trailer was even better.
I'm surprised the music actually fit quite well.

Could this be the first good 40K game since Dawn of War 2? Because goddamn that was a fantastic, stylish trailer.

Oh shi...I forgot about that one! Otherwise, it seems like there's just been a steady stream of rubbish, low budget 40K games being cranked out by inexperienced developers. These guys seem similarly inexperienced, but everything I've read about EYE Divine Cybermancy says that it was really weird, unique, and ambitious. I can only hope that a little bit of publisher $$$ helps this talented developer make something really special.

I thought the music is terribly out of place. It sounds like something from a Tarantino movie.
