Our own friend-of-the-site Dr. Games refers to her as "the Uatu of the Mario universe," and I like that description pretty well. Also see this AV Club article snippet. In fact, read the whole thing, because it is hilarious.
"Most importantly, Rosalina has attitude. I first noticed it last year while playing Super Mario 3D World, in which Rosalina is an unlockable character. At the end of each level, 3D World totals up everybody’s points (assuming you’re playing multiplayer), and the character who earned the most points lets out a little shout of victory. If you’re playing as Toad and you racked up the highest score, Toad shouts, “I won!” It’s cute.
Anyway, I noticed that Peach and Rosalina treat their victories quite differently. If Peach ends up at the top of the heap, she says, “Well, I’ll be!” You know, the same way Malibu Stacy might say, “Don’t ask me, I’m just a girl!” (Peach’s exact words are tough to make out, but it seems like “Well, I’ll be!” and she sounds surprised in any case.) Then I unlocked Rosalina. Whenever she’s crowned level champion, she simply declares, “That’s right.” I love that. You work that spotlight, sister. It belongs to you."

I have 8 at the moment. My 3 year old daughter loves them and has picked out most of them (Mario, Bowser, Peach, and Pikachu). I have a couple that seem to be hard to find in Room Link and Sheik. I missed Rosalina by about 10 minutes which bummed out my daughter.
I said all this to say, I JUST WANT MEGA MAN! -

Great Video! You (Greg) had an experience with Gamestop that sounded almost EXACTLY like mine! Crazy! I happened by the last Toon Link @ Best Buy last weekend as another guy was standing right in front of it-I crept in and snatched the thing like it was the last slice of bread on Earth, then asked to be excused. Thankfully he had no idea that it was rare and wasn't interested in it. I'm still hunting for Rosalina, Mega Man, Little Mac, King Dedede, Sonic, Ike, Sheik, and Pit. Also, I just pre-ordered the Mario Party amiibos...from gamestop...got my confirmation. If it gets cancelled I'm going to lose my mind.

Good video, but why order from Gamestop when they are known for shady practices:
1. Little Smash Bros U girl fraud event who was actually DJ Korean
2. Certain Wii games went up as much as $200 such as Metroid Prime Trilogy
Bet you Gamestop is following Toys R Us and ebaying all those canceled orders to make more money.

I completely believe what you say about GS, but like the guy said in the video, it's really Nintendo that's at fault here. If we could get more of the rare items in stock, the whole 'cancelled order' thing wouldn't be happening. For the most part I like Gamestop. As long as you don't trade in your games, or go in expecting expert gaming advice, they're not so bad. The place I dislike is Best Buy-the games are ALWAYS overpriced (they're always still $60 when you can find them almost everywhere else for $50, $40, or less).
