Mortal Kombat X ViDoc highlights game modes, faction war, and more

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm have highlighted a lot of content that we can expect from Mortal Kombat X. If you've been on the fence whether or not to pre-order, this will definitely get you to do so.

Mortal Kombat X will be more than a pretty face when it releases on April 15 as a new video published by developer NetherRealm has highlighted several of the improvements and new game modes they’re including in the title.

The Mortal Kombat X: Next video reveals a handful of game modes we can expect from the game, which includes Story mode, which is being touted as a “blockbuster movie within the game itself,” 1v1 Ranked, King of the Hill, Survivor Mode, Test your Luck, and Dynamic towers that will offer new content on a regular basis, some of which will be updated upon the hour.\

With Mortal Kombat X, NetherRealm Studios wanted to better embrace its community by globally connecting everyone that plays the game through its Faction system. Players will choose one of five factions: Black Dragon, Brotherhood of Shadow, Lin Kuei, Special Forces, or White Lotus. Once a faction is chosen, you’ll be able to partake in the game’s Faction War by completing certain challenges, such as performing 10 XRAYs, throws, or fatalities. If your faction wins, you’ll be able to rank up within your faction and receive custom rewards that are specific to your faction.

There’s a lot more information in the trailer, so I recommend you just sit back and spend a little over four minutes of your time to learn more about Mortal Kombat X. I know I just submitted my pre-order after watching this video. Yes, it’s that good.

Net code, yes, but matchmaking is important too. They need a better way to find matches that match your skill level.

Amazing! this really shows how the majority of other fighter companies don't put any effort any where near to NetherRealms at least some one cares and pushes the envelope.

Looking forward to SF5 but I doubt it can match anywhere close to what MKX has done.

Mane I wish NetherRealms had the rights to Killer Instinct :(

I'm with you, valcan. I'm hoping other fighting-game developers will take the ideas NetherRealm has with MKX and incorporate it within their games. Now that consoles and PCs are much more powerful, we should expect a much larger experience rather than just having a large number of fighters to choose.

Same, I hope it changes the standard fighter into something more substantial and helps progress the genera.

Like you said it be nice to have more than just "large number of fighters to choose from".

          We shall see hey.

They have a track record of stuffing ludicrous amounts of content in their games. I am so ready for this game
