Ubisoft is finally ready to wrap up its time on the high seas with the PC version of Assassin's Creed Rogue. The third in the AC Pirate trilogy now has a release date for PC and will arrive on March 10.

Assassin's Creed Rogue follows the story of Shay Patrick Cormac, an Assassin that has become disillusioned by his brotherhood's errant ways. This leads him to join the Templars, making it the first time a player must face off against the Assassins.

While all that sounds great on paper, it should be noted that Rogue wasn't exactly a favorite with the Shacknews staff. A lot of the negatives cited some truly ugly glitches, some of which will ideally be eliminated with the PC version. In fact, here are the PC specs:

  • Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8/8.1 (64bit versions only)
  • Intel Core2Quad Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz or AMD Athlon II X4 620 @ 2.6 GHzH
  • 2GB RAM
  • nVidia GeForce GTS450 or AMD Radeon HD5670 (1024MB VRAM) or Intel HD4600
  • DirectX Compatible Sound Card with latest driver
  • 11.4 GB hard disk space
  • Supported video cards: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 or better, GeForce 500, 600, 700, 900 series AMD Radeon HD 5670 or better, Radeon HD 6000, 7000, R7, R9 series Intel HD4600, HD5200

Assassin's Creed Rogue will be available for $49.99.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
