Madden NFL 15 predicts Super Bowl XLIX final score
Madden has gotten pretty good at predicting Super Bowls.
EA’s Madden NFL 15 was not only able to predict who would win this year’s Super Bowl, but for the first time ever, the title was able to predict the exact score through its simulation.
Madden NFL 15 predicted Super Bowl 49’s score to be 28 - 24, which is the exact score the actual game ended in. That’s not all the game was able to predict as the Seahawks’ second-half run as well as the Patriots being down 24 - 14 in the third quarter. Julian Edelman was also predicted to not only make the winning touchdown pass, but the exact play that would be made was also predicted. Tom Brady was also named MVP in the Madden 15 simulation.
Considering today’s news, maybe next year’s Madden should be considered by whoever ends up in Super Bowl 50. I mean, it’s pretty impressive a piece of software can predict something like this with as much accuracy.
We, on the other hand, were way off.
