Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns Expansion Announced at PAX South
ArenaNet announced the Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns expansion to thousands of fans attending PAX South 2015.
Guild Wars 2 fans attending PAX South this weekend cheered as ArenaNet announced the Heart of Thorns expansion for Guild Wars 2. It's the first expansion to come to the MMO since it first released in 2012, and it revises the endgame content with a new Mastery system. Players that reach level 80 can continue progressing their characters by picking up Masteries that will allow them to hang glide over the jungle, and build new collections that will earn precursors for legendary weapons.
Heart of Thorns will add a new area called Heart of Maguuma, a jungle where players can explore, find new allies, and battle new foes. Other additions include a Revanent profession, which will allow players to channel legendary powers and unleash them upon their foes. PvP will get a new Stronghold mode, where one team defends a stronghold while the other tries to storm it. WvW players will receive the New Borderlands map, where players will have to navigate great heights to achieve map objectives that unlock new strategies and change the tide of battle. Lastly, guilds will be able to grow Guild Halls based in Heart of Maguuma.
No official release date for Heart of Thorns has been announced yet.

Bought a copy for the wifu, and was welcomed back by a lot of people I never came across. That's something I always loved about the game, it has a GREAT community, nothing toxic about it. Doesn't hurt that you get experience for reviving someone else either, and there's no such thing as boss camping and you end up with no loot if someone does a last hit or whatever.
