Broken Age breaks into retail in spring 2015
Double Fine and Nordic Games have signed a deal that will bring Broken Age to retailers starting in spring 2015.
Broken Age will soon be made available at a retailer near you as Nordic Games has announced they have signed a distribution deal with Double Fine to bring a boxed version of the game to retail shelves in spring 2015.
The retail version of Broken Age will be released simultaneously with the digital version of the title, which has yet to receive its second act. The release date of Act 2 of Broken Age was pushed back to early 2015, although with this new partnership, fans of Act 1 should plan on experiencing the title’s conclusion by no later than this spring. That is, unless it’s delayed yet again, which would delay this retail version, which would also cause quite a headache for both Nordic Games and Double Fine.
In addition to having Broken Age inside of a fancy, shmancy retail package, the game will feature all-new German voiceovers for all characters. Why, you ask? According to Nordic Games, “ Germany is a veritable stronghold when it comes to pointing and clicking.”

Does this mean part two of Broken Age will be out before the retail release? if not It will seem a bit wrong to release a half finished game to retail and especially when it will probably won't be marketed as half a game. The backers will might be understanding of the release strategy but the average retail consumer likely wont be.
