Imangi Studios is announcing its popular Temple Run series has enterd the realm of virtual reality as Temple Run VR has just been made available for the Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition.

Temple Run VR will once again be tasked with swiping an idol from a mysterious temple, which as a result, will have them running for their lives. This time, adventurers will be running across icy mountain tops as they attempt to avoid the Arctic Demon Monkeys.

What makes this experience so much different from previous iterations of Temple Run is the fact that you can experience your escape in first person as you dodge patches of snow and ice, jump between alpine cliffs, and cross icy footbridges.

“We’re thrilled to see this new virtual reality technology in the hands of consumers, and are inspired by the potential for new game experiences,” said Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi Studios. “It’s been a pleasure working with Samsung and Oculus to bring Temple Run VR to life, and we can’t wait to see what players think of the chase.”
