Space Pirates and Zombies 2 reveals its zombie menace in new trailer

Space Pirates and Zombies 2 will deliver more of the space-faring strategy that the first game offered and a new trailer has your first look into the game's zombie forces.

There are three things that we know Space Pirates and Zombies 2 will deliver, just as its predecessor did. We know it'll be in spaace, it'll have pirates, and you'll probably run into zombies. Today, developer MinMax Games is offering a look at the latter with a new trailer revealing the first look at the game's galactic undead.

The trailer shows a vast hivemind of zombie forces ominously closing in on player territories. It also offers a look at the game's Strategic Starmap feature that allows them to plot out strategies and observe the movements of the five factions that are vying for control of the galaxy.

Space Pirates and Zombies 2 will see players construct their own ship before setting off to explore a vast galaxy. The idea is to claim territory and protect it against hostile forces in a strategy game environment, with controlled areas determining what parts you have at your disposal. While many enemy forces will seek to take your territory for their own, players will also have to deal with the chaotic zombie forces that are simply out to feed.

There is no estimated release window for Space Pirates and Zombies 2, but it will hit Steam once it's ready. In the meantime, those looking to see what they're in for can check out the original Space Pirates and Zombies, which is currently part of the Steam Holiday Sale.
