Opposition against the wicked Sorcerer King continue to rise from the ashes. The third beta update to Stardock's 4X strategy game has gone live today, adding a pair of new classes, as well as a couple of notable new features.

The Priest focuses on healing and defensive magic, building up her forces until she can unleash an all-out assault on the Sorcerer King. She's also the lone sovereign with the ability to reverse the villain's corruption over the land, buying her some additional time before her final blitz. Meanwhile, the Commander focuses on military strength. His armies can win battles through sheer brute strength, without needing to rely on any sort of magic.

The third beta update also adds the element of randomization. Players will now bring up random maps, mixing up the placement of quests, monster lairs, factions, and the Sorcerer King's stronghold for each playthrough.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
