Tetris Ultimate stacks onto PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next week
Get ready to spend your holidays playing Tetris Ultimate as Ubisoft has announced the game will be released on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next week.
Ubisoft already released Tetris Ultimate on the Nintendo 3DS last month, but those who have been holding out on the current-gen version of the game will be glad to hear the publisher has announced when you can get your hands on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.
The wait for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Tetris Ultimate won’t be long as Ubisoft has announced the game will release on December 16 and then December 17, respectively.
A total of six game modes will be available in the current-gen version of Tetris Ultimate: Marathon, Endless, Ultra, Sprint, Battle, and Battle Ultimate. The new Tetris game will also give players the ability to track their friends’ scores as well as view their in-game replays to study their moves, although I know I’ll use the feature to yell angrily at my screen at the unbelievable luck my friend had during one of his playthroughs.
Asynchronous multiplayer is also possible in Tetris Ultimate as the game saves your play style, allowing your friends to play against you even if you’re not around.
Ubisoft has yet to reveal the pricing for Tetris Ultimate on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, but I would think it would be priced similar to the 3DS version, which retailed at $19.99 for the digital version.
