Gauntlet adds Necromancer and Colosseum mode
Gauntlet has made Lilith the Necromancer available for purchase, but those looking for free stuff can also get the Colosseum mode with today's 1.1 update.
Gauntlet is getting a couple of new features for those that are looking to run through the rebooted dungeon crawler in a slightly different way. The 1.1 update will add a new game mode, as well as a new character for purchase.
Colosseum mode will put one to four players in Arenas of escalating difficulty. Surviving waves of enemies will yield special Capes for heroes. High scores will also be posted to the High Score Leaderboards. Arenas are expected to be rotated out each season, with new rewards put in place.
Those looking to step away from the standard Gauntlet classes can also pick up Lilith the Necromancer. She specializes in dark magic, summoning undead skeletons to fight at her side. She can also 'Ghostwalk' through her enemies to slow them down and get to safety. Lilith is available for $4.99 on Steam.
There are also a number of bug fixes, all of which can be found on the Steam Announcements page. Gauntlet proved to be a perfectly good party game when it released in September, which you can read more about in our review.
