Heroes of the Storm update adds Jaina and Christmas skins

The newest technical alpha update for Heroes of the Storm is adding a new heroine, along with a few new extra additions.

Heroes of the Storm is preparing to ring in the holidays, so Blizzard is briefly taking the technical alpha offline. When it returns, expect a new patch and a new playable hero. Jaina Proudmoore is making the jump from World of Warcraft and Hearthstone and will bring along all of her magical abilities.

Jaina can use her Frostbolt, Blizzard, and Cone of Cold attacks to ice her enemies and slow them down, thanks, in part, to her Frost Bite trait. Her Heroic Abilities will allow her to summon a Water Elemental or use the chilling RIng of Frost to take out numerous foes at once. Let's see what Jaina can do in her new trailer.

The new patch will also pave the way for Stimpacks. Those looking to earn greater end-of-game rewards and gold will be able to purchase these Stimpacks for a helpful boost. These items will otherwise not affect the game, but will simply amplify the rewards earned at the end of each session. More information on Stimpacks can be found here.

Also, Christmas skins are coming and should be available by patch time. You can see some of those skins in the video below. There are also plenty of tweaks and balance changes to be found, so check out the full patch notes here.
