Peggle goes free-to-play in Peggle Blast on iOS and Android
EA has released a free-to-play version of Peggle onto iOS and Android devices today, so get ready to throw lots of balls at lots of pegs.
EA has released a brand-new free-to-play title based on PopCap Games’ popular Peggle series, called Peggle Blast, on iOS and Android devices.
The gameplay mechanics of Peggle Blast are largely similar to the Peggle series as you’ll fire balls around levels in order hit pegs within levels, which in turn, rewards players with points. You’ll also be able to purchase power-ups and you’ll come across a number of different victory conditions across a number of levels.
The free-to-play aspect comes into play as an energy system, as most modern-day F2P games then to incorporate. When the player fails to complete a particular level, they’ll lose energy, and if you lose enough energy, you’ll have to either find something else to do for a bit in order to gain more energy, or you’ll need to purchase more energy using real-world money.
If you’re a big fan of Peggle and don’t mind free-to-play games, head on over the the App Store or Play Store and give Peggle Blast a shot. I personally am downloading it on my phone and I’ll be giving it a go later on today since I never really mind free-to-play games, especially when I have yet to spend a dime on any of them.
