Broken Age Act 2 release date pushed back to early 2015
Those looking to enjoy the second act of Double Fine's Broken Age will be heartbroken to hear they'll have to wait until 2015 to play it.
The second act of Double Fine’s Broken Age has slipped from an end of 2014 release into an early 2015 release, according to a post on the developer’s official forums.
The reason for the delay is due to an expansion of the team working on the title, and even though playtesting of Act 2 has been positive, the team believes they “just gotta give the game the time it needs” in order to be complete. This means the alpha of Act 2 will be taking place prior to the end of 2014 and its beta is “well on it’s way,” which is when Kickstarter backers can jump in to help with testing the title.
For those who found the playtime of Broken Age’s first act to be on the short side, Double Fine is claiming playtime for Act 2 “have ranged from 8-12 hours.” So even though we’ll be checking out Act 2 of Broken Age a little later than we expected, I’m at least happy to hear we’ll be getting double the amount of time with the game.
