Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire trailer welcomes Deoxys

A climactic battle for the fate of the planet is about to unfold in space with Rayquaza the only thing standing between Deoxys and Earth's utter annihilation.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will release next week and though it's intended to be a remake of the Game Boy Advance originals, it looks like Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are committed to packing in a lot of new content not seen before. The latest reveal sees new details on the game's story, which will surround the extraterrestrial legendary, Deoxys.

The Delta Episode will see a mysterious asteroid headed straight for our planet. The Mossdeep Space Center is attempting to look into the oncoming disaster, but it under siege by the combined forces of Team Magma and Team Aqua. As the asteroid rockets across space, Deoxys will find itself in an epic struggle with the legendary Dragon-type Rayquaza for the fate of the planet.

The new trailer also offers a brief glimpse of some of the other legendaries that will be available from the strange Mirage spots that cover Hoenn. There are over a dozen legendaries across all generations of Pokemon games available, making Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire the prime place to catch all of these rare creatures.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire arrive next Friday on 3DS. Check out the trailer below for more.
