Dungeon Defenders 2 enters Steam Early Access in December
Dungeon Defenders is making a triumphant return this year as it'll be available on Steam Early Access starting next month.
Trendy Entertainment has been hard at work on their upcoming Dungeon Defenders sequel, Dungeon Defenders 2, and today, the developer has announced the game will hit Steam Early Access on December 5 in conjunction with the 2014 Gaming Awards.
Dungeon Defenders 2 finds players rallying together to fight back the Old Ones from further invading the land of Etheria. The game will have new defenses as well as features, although Trendy doesn’t go into specifics as to what these consist of.
For those interested in the Dungeon Defenders 2 Steam Early Access, those who purchase it will gain access to a pre-alpha build of the game, which will allow them to play the entire first region of the full game with the franchise’s four iconic heroes.
Trendy also promises a special announcement will take place during the 2014 Gaming Awards which they say will focus on the future of the franchise.
Dungeon Defenders 2 is currently in development on PC, Mac, and Linux and expects to launch as a free-to-play title that is supported by “ethical in-game purchases.”
