Duck Hunt Smash Bros trailer heralds Duck Hunt Virtual Console release

Duck Hunt is not only joining the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros., but his classic game is about to see a re-release on the Wii U Virtual Console.

Those that have picked up Super Smash Bros. for 3DS may not be too surprised by the latest trailer for the upcoming Wii U version of the game. It has been confirmed that Duck Hunt, the unholy team-up between the Duck Hunt dog and the Duck Hunt... er... duck, will join the Wii U roster, as well.

A new trailer revealed many of Duck Hunt's attacks, as well as his various color palettes. While that laugh-out-loud trailer would be enough, the trailer concluded with a special announcement for fans of the classic light gun shooter. Duck Hunt (the game) will soon be hitting the Wii U Virtual Console, with the Wii Remote acting as the Zapper light gun. No date for its release has been given.
