Xbox 'Games with Gold' for November includes Viva Pinata
Xbox celebrates some of its lesser-known titles with November's Games with Gold.
With November set to usher in even more big budget games, Microsoft is taking the month to remember some of its lesser-known games with three new Games with Gold titles.
Volgarr the Viking, from Crazy Viking Studios, will make its Xbox One debut in November as the platform's free game. This is the latest indie game to come from the vaunted ID@Xbox program. Volgarr previously released on Steam in September of last year. The release trailer for this 16-bit platformer can be seen below.
Meanwhile, the Xbox 360 will kick off the month with Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise. Rare's pinata-fest will run for free from November 1 through the 15, at which point Volition's Red Faction Guerrilla will take over as the free offering for the remainder of the month.

Xbox is really coming around. I was silly enough to leave my PS4 controllers off the charger overnight recently and they were both dead when I tried to use them. So I bought Evil Within on the Xbox instead. It plays well enough. EA Access gives me about $10ish off DA:Inquisition. Plex is on the Xbox now. Sunset Overdrive is a good exclusive that looks really nice. It's going hard on the price cuts and bundles for the holiday. And now the day that Sony is all LOL NO PSN+ DriveClub 4U, Xbox is announcing a "real game" for the Gold's freebie, after a lackluster past few months. They aren't winning yet, but they are being aggressive.

I played so many fucking 360 games over it's lifetime and somehow Viva Pinata is still the one game I have the most achievement points with. Something about forcing pinata animals to have sex for profit, selling their children and then beating them to death for candy is just fun and addicting. I would recommend playing it.
