Killer Instinct trailer prepares for tomorrow's Season 2, teases new fighters
If you're looking for a new trailer to pump you up for tomorrow's Killer Instinct: Season 2, you can find that here. If you're looking to start speculating on new characters, you can find that in this trailer, too.
Killer Instinct fans are already getting a taste of what Season Two will hold for them, thanks to the recent balance patch, but the next season of the fighter is officially set to get underway tomorrow. To offer up a taste of what's to come, new developer Iron Galaxy has issued a new trailer.
Season 2 will re-balance fighters and offer whole new mechanics, like the Air Combo Breaker. New characters TJ Combo and Maya are set to enter the arena tomorrow, along with six other characters set to arrive gradually over the coming months. The new trailer offers up some silhouette teases, showing some brand new faces and some distinct favorites like Riptor and Cinder that can be faintly made out.
Look for Season 2 to also revamp certain aspects of Killer Instinct, like the game's online rankings and 'Jail' system. For more on that, be sure to check out our interview with lead designer Adam Heart. The battle begins anew tomorrow, so check out the trailer.

Is there really enough room in the fighting game world for more than 1 or 2 big/popular titles? Is it worth it for developers to expend the time and effort?
At big tournaments there are usually fairly large pools for SF4, MvC3, and Smash Bros. Diluting the pool further there are also some weird anime-looking fighting games, Injustice, and old stalwarts vying for returns in MK and now KI. Tournament play is a poor metric for judging a game's popularity, but it's all I have.
