Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire's Mega Rayquaza flies into battle

Mega Rayquaza has the winds at its side in the newest trailer for Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire.

As the legendary Groudon and Kyogre continue their epic struggle on the ground and across the seas, there's a third legendary that's preparing to make its long-awaited return in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. It's the massive dragon Rayquaza, which brings its own Mega Evolution to the battlefield in a new trailer.

Mega Rayquaza boosts an already-fearsome legendary, receiving stat boosts across the board. It also gets the exclusive Delta Stream ability, which completely shuts down all weather effects. It also nullifies all Super Effective attacks on Flying-types, making battles a rough climate for Electric-types. All of this complements its new Dragon Ascent attack, the ultimate Flying-type attack that sees Rayquaza take to the skies before raining massive power upon its opponents.
