Report: Minecraft on PlayStation wouldn't be affected by Microsoft acquisition
Microsoft will continue to play fair on other platforms once the sale is complete, according to insider sources.
There's a lot of talk going around right now about the possibility that Mojang will be acquired by Microsoft for a whopping $2 billion. But if you're a PlayStation owner and a fan of the block-building game, not to worry. The versions you already own wouldn't go anywhere.
Inside sources spoke to Bloomberg on the matter, stating that "Microsoft will keep Minecraft available for rival products" should the deal go through. However, no mention was made as to what will happen to future products. We're betting, though, that they would be exclusive to Microsoft's Xbox consoles.
