Madden NFL 15 cutting Ray Rice from roster
Following the release of a violent video that resulted in running back's suspension from the league, EA has announced he's out of the game too.
Following his indefinite suspension from the NFL, Ray Rice is being cut from Madden NFL 15 too.
Electronic Arts issued a statement today (via USA Today) stating that a roster update will go live on Friday, removing Rice from the game. The former Baltimore Ravens running back was released from the team and suspended after a video surfaced of him punching his then-fiancee Janay Palmer.
As the report notes, EA has been quick to remove offending players before. It removed Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez from two games last year, Madden NFL 25 and NCAA Football 14, after he was charged with murder.
