Super Smash Bros. 3DS to support New 3DS C-Stick
The New 3DS C-Stick will be supported Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, but not the previously released Circle Pad Pro accessory.
Nintendo is prepared to showcase gameplay from the “final” version of Super Smash Bros. 3DS on September 12, which has many fans of the series all kinds of excited. Some new bit of information has been revealed in a NeoGAF thread that may or may not be a deal breaker for those planning on picking up the handheld version of the popular fighting series.
According to the support page on the Nintendo of Japan’s website, Super Smash Bros. 3DS will make full use of the new 3DS and 3DS XL as its extra shoulder buttons and C-stick will be fully supported. Unfortunately for those who own Nintendo’s second circle pad accessory, it won’t be supported.
This means those who own the standard 3DS or 3DS XL will only be allowed to use controls that are specific to those handhelds. It also means if you want to take full advantage of Super Smash Bros. fighting mechanics, you’ll most likely have to splurge for a New 3DS or New 3DS XL.
Here's hoping those who own the second circle pad accessory weren't in too good of a mood thinking you'll finally get the love you've deserved after picking up the accessory and having just a handful of developers support it.
