Report: Smash Bros. 3DS system coming to U.S.
We could see the new handheld as soon as this month, according to a leaked Wal-Mart ad.
Ever since its announcement on the overseas market a month ago, Super Smash Bros. fans have been wondering if they would be able to get their hands on the new 3DS Smash Bros. system, which features the cast of characters embossed on the front of the device. Well, according to a new ad from Wal-Mart, the answer could very well be yes.
The ad, first leaked on the Blu-Ray forums, shows that the system is set for a release on September 19th, but apparently just for Wal-Mart stores at the moment, in a "Get it first" promotion. The system will be available in both red and blue colors, and go for $199.96. As with previous system bundles, it appears that the 3DS will not come with a copy of the game.
Given its timed release, we could see the Smash Bros. system get a general release on the market starting October 3rd, the same day that the main game will be available for 3DS.
Nintendo hasn't confirmed any details on this just yet, but considering the game is just under a month from release, it's likely to announce it soon. We'll let you know once it's a done deal.
Almost time to SMASH!
