Sony surprised most of us when they announced LittleBigPlanet 3 was not only coming to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, but also that we can expect it to release this holiday season. Fans of the series are preparing to go on yet another adventure with Sackboy and his new pals, but he’ll also be making an appearance in a new title designed for mobile platforms, Run Sackboy! Run!

Run Sackboy! Run! has the Negativitron once again wreaking havoc on Craftworld and will be chasing Sackboy across three iconic worlds from the LittleBigPlanet series: The Gardens, The Canyons and Avalonia. The game will use simple tap and swipe gestures that will help players guide Sackboy through levels in an attempt to evade any dangerous obstacles that come his way.

Just like in the LittleBigPlanet series, bubble collecting will play a big part in Run Sackboy! Run! as bubbles collected can then be used to purchase special costumes and upgrades. Costumes will have built-in score multipliers that will help Sackboy achieve higher score possibilities. Power-ups will also be available and include a Jet Pack, Shield, Magnet and Glider.

Stickers will also be collectable and the in-game Sticker Book will offer the ability to unlock special rewards as certain collections are completed. One such unlockable feature will be exclusive costumes that will be available for LittleBigPlanet 3.

Run Sackboy! Run! will be made available onto iOS, Androd and PS Vita in October.
