PAX Prime hasn't started yet, but that hasn't stopped Harmonix from revealing their latest game. The creators of Rock Band and Dance Central have unveiled a new twin-stick shooter called A City Sleeps, adding bullet hell shooting to their musical resume.

A City Sleeps centers around a girl named Poe, who enters people's dreams to remove the demons that dwell within them with the air of her Koto-sword called "Heartstrings." The anime-style action game promises hardcore twin-stick shooting with tactical choices. And as has become the hallmark of Harmonix, much of the action, including enemy spawning and movement patterns, will be driven by the game's soundtrack.

For more, check out the teaser below. The game is already listed on Steam and is set to release in October.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Yes, but four of those are releasing over the next two months. It's not like they have a great history of vaporware.
