Jane Jensen and Phoenix Online Studios provide a sneak peek into the remake of Sins of the Fathers. And it's a doozy.

Thanks to a new trailer that debuted at Gamescom this week, we have a better idea of what Gabriel Knight's 20th Anniversary will bring

The trailer is below, a combination of effort between series creator Jane Jansen and the team at Phoenix Online Studios. In addition, the game's original composer, Robert Holmes, has also returned to put some touches on the game's soundtrack.

The trailer for the game is below, and although platforms haven't been announced yet, a PC release is very likely.

remember to pick up the fucking mud clay from the murder scene at the end of act 1.

Fuuuuucking A. I love this game to death but who in their right mind would think to pick up a piece of the ground at a specific point and time with no real impetus to do so?

I remember hearing valid reasons why they couldn't use the original recordings from the first game (namely the lack of uncompressed recordings) but my excitement is severely tempered by the lack of Mark Hamill and Tim Curry.

While the new animations look great here, the voice acting quality of the original set so high a bar. This is why I gave up on Black Mesa early on, being so familiar with the original intonation and phrasing.

I would have preferred better 2D art to 3D, I think. Or go with something a bit more stylized (though the realistic style is a big part of GK).
