Nexon teams up with Valve for Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies
The undead are invading the popular series.
If you thought the world of Counter-Strike would be safe from zombies…think again.
Korean company Nexon has announced that it has teamed up with Valve to produce a new chapter of the popular first-person shooter series, this time featuring a number of speedy undead types that you'll need to mow down. Say hello to Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies.
The free-to-play shooter will have you facing off against zombie hordes, while also tackling new modes, such as Hostage Rescue and Bomb Diffusion. The game collaboration is set to make its way to Steam sometime during the third quarter of 2014.
"Today we are announcing the latest creation from Nexon in the Counter-Strike world, one that builds upon years of success in developing CS Online for Asia," said Valve's Doug Lombardi. "This title showcases that work in new, zombie, and classic form."
This isn't the first time that Nexon and Valve have worked together with zombies, as the team previously released a special zombie mode for Counter-Strike Online in Asia. The video below is included, and kind of gives you an idea of what to expect from the forthcoming Zombies spin-off.

That zombie mod was hilarious where you teamed up the CT and T teams and one person randomly becomes the zombie. Players could shoot in Game objects to build barricades too IIRC. One game everyone ran into a room and we managed to lock out the one zombie but one guy was dumb and got too close on the barricade and got bit. So now we got locked in with one zombie haha.
