Assassin's Creed Memories announced for iOS
Take the Animus with you
Assassin's Creed is coming to mobile yet again, this time as a card-battling strategy RPG called Assassin's Creed Memories. It's due for iOS devices sometime soon.
Memories will span different eras of Assassin's Creed, like Renaissance Italy, Colonial America, and some new eras. It's all about customizing your deck with members of the brotherhood and other familiar faces. The announcement didn't show off any screenshots, but it did state that on top of the single-player it will have 20-v-20 multiplayer battles. In the context of the Assassin's Creed universe, this will introduce the concept of Abstergo's "mobile Animus."
The RPG hooks and title make it sound a bit like Assassin's Creed Recollection, a CCG-board game hybrid released in 2011.
This new free-to-play game is being developed by mobile studios GREE and PlayNext.

This sounds like a straight-up repackaging of PlayNext's last mobile "hit" X-Men Battle of the Atom. Which I would hesitate to call a game. It's a slot machine with card packs and nothing but grind. There is a bit of meta-strategy in their 20v20 battles, but you need a fairly coordinated team for that.
