Dota 2 International Championships will be broadcast on ESPN networks

The Dota 2 International Championships are hitting The Worldwide Leader of (e)Sports

When you think of sports, you think of ESPN, with their round-the-clock coverage of all things athletic across several cable networks. But now ESPN is about to become the Worldwide Leader of eSports, because Valve announced that this year's Dota 2 International Championships will be available online on ESPN3. On top of that, the finals will get a cushy prime-time preview on ESPN2 this Sunday at 11:30PM EDT.

Sunday will feature an exclusive preview of the Dota 2 finals, along with highlights and expert analysis. The latter will probably come from Dota 2 insiders, though the idea of Bill Simmons breaking down the finer points of Dota sounds perversely entertaining. The Sunday broadcast will also feature interviews with players, as well as Valve's Gabe Newell.
