If you didn't make the cut for the Smash Bros Invitational tournament at E3 this year, you can still show off your Smashing skills in a public venue. Nintendo has announced it will be hosting another tournament, this one for the upcoming 3DS version of the game, at San Diego Comic-Con later this month.

You can register at the Nintendo Gaming Lounge at the Marriott Marquis & Marina, near the convention center, on July 25. Registrations will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and space is limited. Starting at noon, a preliminary round will group together parties of four, and the winner of each will advance. The finals will be one-on-one bouts. Oddly, the announcement didn't detail what the prize will be. Glory, one presumes.

If you want to watch the matches but can't make it out to San Diego, Nintendo will be streaming it on Twitch.
