Hi Shackers, Shacknews is relaunching and I wanted to say a quick hello to everyone.
Greetings Shackers,
Welcome to an ever evolving Shacknews. I’m sure many of you have noticed that we’ve been going through some changes, including new faces and more original content that reaches out to our dedicated community for input and feedback. Our goal is make Shacknews your ultimate destination for information, insight, and entertainment. Above all, we want to share our love of games with everyone. So, as we bid a fond farewell to Andrew Yoon, we thank you for visiting our site and we hope you enjoy the ride.

Andrew was awesome during the transition away from the previous owners of the site and getting Shacknews ready for its next chapter. This was in the works for quite some time and we definitely wish him the best of luck, and he is always welcome to contribute to the site whenever he wants (and he has said he would like to).

Fellow Shackers, I come to you in the wake of recent events to issue a call to reason. Let no shacker deny the perils of our time. While we battle one another, divided be the petty strife of our common history, the tide of greater conflict is turning against us, threatening to destroy all that we have accomplished.
It is time for us as console and as PC gamers to set aside our long-standing feuds and unite. The tides of an unwinnable war are upon us and we must seek refuge on higher ground lest we be swept away by the flood. The Old Shack is no more. Whatever semblance of unity and protection it once provided is a phantom... a memory. With our enemies left unchecked, who will you turn to for protection? The devastation wrought by the Gamestop invaders is self-evident. We have seen our threads and stories destroyed by the calculated blows of IGN. We have seen first hand our friends and loved ones consumed by the nightmarish Neogaf.
Unprecedented and unimaginable though they may be, these are the signs of our time. The time has come my fellow Shackers to rally to a new banner. In unity lies strength; already many of the dissident factions have joined us. Out of the many we shall forge an indivisible whole capitulating only to a single throne. And from that throne, I shall watch over you. From this day forward let no Shacker make war upon any other Shacker. Let no corporate agency conspire against this new beginning, and let no shacker consort with other sites, and to all the enemies of Shacknews: seek not to bar our way. For we shall win through, no matter the cost!
