Cliff Bleszinski has announced his next game, a free-to-play sci-fi shooter called BlueStreak. Bleszinski said that the PC arena shooter is being published through a partnership with the South Korean company Nexon, a company known most for MapleStory.
Bleszinski gave the word over Twitter, where he also unsurprisingly confirmed his startup Boss Key. The official site for Boss Key still only has a hashtag for BlueStreak without any details or screenshots, however, and the previously running countdown clock has simply reset. That leaves us short on details on how the game will look or play, but those details are sure to be forthcoming before too long.

Why? Just because it has f2p elements in it? Elements that you dont even know what they are going to be? It just seems silly to be all "NOPE" when something is announced and you dont even know what its about. Maybe its just hats and skins which have no bearing at all on gameplay.
If it is something that gives another an advantage in gameplay, then by all means say "nope" but we dont know anything yet. -

Only just now started looking at Firefall. Figure he's going to have to one-up that and PS2. So, where will the f2p component come into play? Customization?
Some dev studio is really going to need to throw down and do a combo business model. $2/mo sub + shop to customize (or something like that). Keep the sub, make it small since we don't just play one game any more, and put some stuff in the shop for the whales to gravitate to. I kinda like the in-game shop currency where the sub gets you some amount per month so you can save for the big item in the shop or just buy with real money.
I assume it'll be that or like the MOBA style where you buy your class and or option slots. -

Dear Cliffy B, Next time you're going to start your own company and announce a new videogame, do yourself a favor and don't reveal anything until you have a polished gameplay trailer to show. These "reveal of the company name" and "reveal of the project codename" posts are completely groan-worthy. Nobody gives a shit about the name of your stuff. Keep your mouth shut until you have something worth showing.
