Firefall launch set for late July
After a lengthy beta period, Red 5 has finally set a date for Firefall: July 29.
The extended beta for Firefall has turned out to be extremely extended, having run for roughly three years in some form. Red 5 Studios is finally preparing to officially launch it, with a release planned for July 29.
Like the beta, Firefall will be free-to-play with paid transactions for cosmetic and "convenience" upgrades. You can also purchase "Launch Packs" through the official site, which include perks like a bonus multiplayer vehicle, digital soundtrack, and concept art book.
Red 5 CEO James Macauley also boasted in the announcement that the launch update will roughly quadruple the world space, and add about 15 times the content. So at least after such a long wait the update won't be the same-old.

I'm guessing there's still probably basically no "single player" content at all? That's what killed the game in beta for me.
If I can't sign in and do some cool shit by myself with some sort of storied progression, meh.
The game is beautiful and the concept is really solid. The world is great. There was just basically nothing for me to do in the beta.
