Transformers Universe rolls out open beta
Transformers Universe is opening its beta period this weekend, and ringing in the event with double XP, prizes, and a live stream.
Transformers Universe, the free-to-play third-person MOBA based on the classic big punchy robots, is kicking off an open beta period this holiday weekend. To mark the milestone, Jagex is offering double XP and some prizes.
The studio will be hosting a 24-hour Twitch stream starting 11 AM ET on July 5. Plus, you can rack up double XP, and Jagex will be giving out $75,000 in prizes. Those prizes aren't specified, but they likely come in the form of Founders packages.
"True to our heritage we've pioneered a game in which all content can be enjoyed for free, simply through play," Jagex CEO Mark Gerhard said in the announcement. "With almost two million battle victories recorded during the Closed Beta, our players evidently had the most fun--and success--while playing together with their friends in teams. I've been delighted to see teams invent strategies and tactics that we had not even imagined, and can't wait to see what new players come up with."
