Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix trailer shows new HD hotness

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix will offer some shiny new graphics to the original PS2/PSP games and a new trailer shows an active comparison between the newer HD and older SD versions.

Square Enix is continuing its years-long recap of the Kingdom Hearts series with Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix. But along with the helpful story bits comes some improved visuals, which the publisher would like to show off with a new trailer that compares the shiny new HD paint jobs with their original SD counterparts.

The eight-minute clip below switches between the newer PS3 HD feed and the original SD feeds, with viewers also able to switch between them at will. While the update to Kingdom Hearts 2 looks fairly impressive, it's the visual overhaul to Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep that looks like a major step up from its PSP original.

Get a look for yourself by watching the full video. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix is set to release on PlayStation 3 on December 2, just in time for Kingdom Hearts 3 to release... uh... **cough**.
