Kerbal Space Program 'Kerbin Cup' mod celebrates the World Cup

Kerbal Space Program is getting into the spirit of the World Cup with the new Kerbin Cup, which also acts as the game's first official mod.

As the World Cup concludes its group play stage, the folks at Squad are taking a short intermission from space travel and celebrating the world's love for soccer. The studio has revealed the first official mod for Kerbal Space Program, adding their own contribution to the beautiful game called "The Kerbin Cup."

The Kerbin Cup introduces several new items, such as a Kerbal-sized soccer ball, a larger rocket-sized soccer, and flags for all 32 World Cup countries. Squad has embraced the spirit of the mod by hosting activities and contests that utilize the mod in different ways.
