Destiny's PlayStation content exclusive for a year
Some of the DLC for Sony's Destiny games could be exclusive for a whole year.
We already knew that Activision and Sony had reached a deal to provide some exclusive content to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of Destiny, the company's forthcoming sci-fi first-person shooter from the team at Bungie. What we didn't know, however, was how long the content would remain exclusive. Thanks to a listing from Amazon this morning, however, we seem to have a better idea.
The content, which comes with a new multiplayer map and weapons, purportedly won't be available for other platforms until a year following its release. This comes from an Amazon listing, which reads, "Exclusive content for PlayStation 4 owners includes the Exodus Blue Competitive Multiplayer Map, Dust Palace Strike, Weapons, Ships and Gear that will only be on PlayStation until at least Fall 2015."
Activision and Bungie haven't provided word on the content yet, but it doesn't look like it affects all DLC, just this certain batch. Destiny arrives in stores and digitally on September 9th.
