A video from last week has already pointed to a repeat appearance from Tom Clancy's The Division, but let's see what else is on the Ubisoft table. Ubisoft would make so much money if they got their AssCreed team to make a movie based off of the game.

The UbiFilms team is pretty good, though the earlier stuff that everyone remembers was done by Blur. Who, BTW, did go on to do film work. BLUR did the intro to Thor 2, for example.

It doesn't add anything to the experience and sometimes interferes. One of the best things about AC4 is that you can skip all but five minutes or so of that junk.

I think they put it in the first game because they didn't think they could sell pure historical fiction to """gamers""" (and probably wanted a way to interconnect the series), then a bunch of neckbeards latched onto it so they can't get rid of it now despite most people thinking its fucking dumb
On the plus side they keep pushing it further into the background -
Because the framing device lets it be an open world game while still telling a story. It's all being remembered instead of happening 'now'. I think it's probably the smartest thing about the AC series.
