Last week, Shacknews' Sam Leichtamer attempted to play through League of Legends live on the Shacknews Twitch channel. It didn't quite work out so well, because of some technical difficulties. Now Sam returns to try again. And by golly, this time, it's going to happen!
Update: Special thanks to all who joined us! Enjoy the archive after the break!
Last week, Shacknews' Sam Leichtamer attempted to play through League of Legends live on the Shacknews Twitch channel. It didn't quite work out so well, because of some technical difficulties. Now Sam returns to show off the same MOBA prowess that she's demonstrated across a number of LocalBattles TV streams. And by golly, this time, it's going to happen!
The stream begins at 12PM EDT. Catch the stream after the break or head over to the Shacknews Twitch channel. Watch alongside us and be sure to toss your comments into Chatty.

When you guys get up in production, I would recommend getting a proper scalar. We use the A/V scaler from Gefen for everything except traditional RF capture: http://www.gefen.com/kvm/ext-gscaler-pron.jsp?prod_id=8911

It helps with classic game and PC streaming as it will do all the hard work of scaling, deinterlace and frame sync across the interfaces for you.
For PC Streaming (of modern stuff) we us a GEFEN 1:3 HDMI splitter and send one of the signals to an ATLONA HDMI Up/Down scaler which takes 1080p60 PC feed and scales it to 720p59.94. It looks a lot better for PC capture than using 1080p30 cards like the LiveGamer HD.
If you need 1080p60 capture, then I'd recommend the ExtremeCapture: http://www.amazon.com/AVerMedia-Technologies-Inc-CV710-Extreme/dp/B00G9QTUVE - It's the only non-professional 1080p60 capture device out there.
