Apple shows off dev-friendly back-end with EA and Epic games

E3 is next week, and that means it's Apple's time to shine with its annual WWDC conference. Today during the presentation, the company introduced iOS 8, along with a backend called "Metal" that allows developers to directly access the CPU and graphics processor.

Mortal Kombat X announced, first trailer shown

Update: Warner Bros has now officially announced the platforms: PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. After plenty of teasing, Mortal Kombat X has officially been officially announced. NetherRealm creative director Ed Boon gave the name this morning, followed promptly by the first trailer. Also, be sure to check out what we think the new Mortal Kombat game should include.

Forza Horizon 2 announced, coming this fall

Forza Horizon is getting a sequel. Aptly named Forza Horizon 2, it's due this fall for Xbox One and Xbox 360. Playground Games, the studio behind the first Horizon, is taking the lead, but it will also be collaborating with Turn 10 Studios from Forza 5.
